Mock drill on 7 May across India
Taking a major step after the terrorist attack, the Government of India has announced to get a civil defense mock drill in 244 districts of the country on 7 May. This will include activities such as blackout exercise, air red sirens, shifting people to safe places and checking the emergency communication system.
This alert system can be seen in mock drill
Air red sirens can be played in many cities during this mock drill. These are the same sirens that are used to alert people immediately in conditions like war time or natural disaster. Their voice is loud and rings in a particular pattern, so that the common people understand that a signal of danger is being given.
Along with this, mobile alerts can also be sent to some areas. That is, users can get a government warning on their phone with flash messages, notifications or alarm tones. However, this has not been confirmed by the government, but in 2023, the Government of India prepared a system of getting an alert through SMS, which was also tested at that time.
Pakistan also did full military drill
