In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, it was also said that the concerned officer has been instructed to leave Pakistan within 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, “The Government of Pakistan has declared a member of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as an unwanted person due to his involvement in the activities contrary to his privileged position.” The statement said in the statement that the Indian High Commissioner was called to the Ministry of External Affairs and informed about the decision.

India expelled Pakistani officer

Earlier on Tuesday, India expelled a Pakistani officer working in the Pakistan High Commission due to his involvement in alleged espionage. The Ministry of External Affairs said that this officer was not behaving according to the dignity of his diplomatic post in India, so he has been asked to leave the country within 24 hours. This action was taken by both India and Pakistan, amidst the increased tension after a four-day military confrontation. India also issued an objection to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi on the activities of the officer. The Ministry of External Affairs did not inform the allegations against the Pakistani officer, but according to sources, these allegations are related to a spy case, which the Punjab Police is investigating.

What did the Ministry of External Affairs say by issuing a statement?

The Ministry of External Affairs said, “The Government of India has declared a Pakistani officer working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi due to his involvement in the activities not being in line with the official post in India.” The statement said, “The officer has been asked to leave India within 24 hours. An objection in this regard was issued to the in -charge of Pakistan High Commission today.

Punjab Police is investigating the case of espionage

The Punjab Police on Sunday said that it had arrested two people, including a woman, for alleged involvement in the detective activities associated with a Pakistani officer posted at the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that on the basis of reliable intelligence information, two people have been arrested for leaking sensitive information to the bosses in Pakistan regarding the activities of the Indian Army.
