BJP Attack on Congress: The central government will send the all -party delegation abroad to expose Pakistan on the issue of terrorism. In this, the government proposed the name of Shashi Tharoor on behalf of the Congress, then the party removed it from the list of names sent on its behalf. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the Congress on Saturday (May 17, 2025) on the matter and said that why does Rahul Gandhi hate those who speak for India?
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said, “So Jairam Ramesh opposes his own Congressman Shashi Tharoor to be elected to lead the parliamentary delegation! Why does Rahul Gandhi hate every person who speaks for India, even in his party?”
The BJP targeted the Congress when Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the party has selected former Union Minister Anand Sharma for the proposed delegations in foreign countries, former Union Minister Anand Sharma, Congress Deputy Leader Gaurav Gogoi, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Syed Nasir Hussain and Lok Sabha MP Raja Barar in Lok Sabha.

Shashi Tharoor’s name missing from Congress list but government entrusted responsibility
Although the Congress may not have named its own party leader Shashi Tharoor in the list submitted to the government, but the government has entrusted the responsibility to Shashi Tharoor. He will represent one of the 7 delegations. If sources are to be believed, then he will favor India in America. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has included Tharoor’s name in the list of seven MPs who will represent India on world forums and will give information about Operation Sindoor to world leaders.

Throor also admitted to the government’s proposal and said, “When national interests are included and my services are definitely there, I will not lag behind.” Posting on X, he said, “I feel honored with the invitation of the Government of India to lead an all -party delegation among the five major capitals to present our nation’s approach to recent events. Jai Hind.”
