The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore was canceled on Saturday due to rain, after which KKR became the fourth team to be out of this season. KKR’s performance in this season has been very poor. Due to which IPL can show these 5 players out of 2026.
KKR had spent a hefty amount of Rs 23.75 crore to include all -rounder Venkatesh Iyer in the team. But he was able to score just 142 runs in 11 matches this year at an average of 20.28. At the same time, he did not bowl even a single over.
According to Insidspport, wicketkeeper batsman Quinton Dickock scored 97 runs in just one match. After this, he could not do anything special. After which the team made him sit on the bench. In such a situation, KKR can also release Dickock before next year.
Rinku Singh was retained by KKR for Rs 13 crore for this season. But this year he could not do anything special. He has scored just 197 runs in 10 matches. Also, the number he is batting on, he is not getting much overs to impose impact in the match.
All -rounder Moin Ali has got a chance in 6 matches this year. During this, he has taken 6 wickets. Moin did not even get much chance of batting this season. The team was using him as a replacement of Sunil Naren and Varun Chakraborty.
KKR has not given much opportunity to Rovman Powell this year. He has played only two matches. Out of which he has batted in only one match. As long as KKR has Andre Russell, Powell is difficult to get a chance. In such a situation, KKR can release him before the next season.
