India Smartphone Export: India’s figures are shocking in terms of exporting smartphones. In FY 2025 (FY 2024-2025), smartphones worth $ 24.14 billion were exported from India. This is 55 percent more than the export of $ 15.57 billion that took place last year. According to recently released government data, most of these smartphones were sent to the US, Netherlands, Italy, Japan and Czech Republic.
So much exported in America alone
In FY 2024-2025, India exported a $ 10.6 billion smartphone to the US alone. This is double the smartphone of $ 5.57 billion exported to the US a year ago. Smartphone exports from India have surpassed petroleum products and diamond exports. That is, India now exports more smartphones than petrochemicals and diamonds.
Apart from the US, the Netherlands imported $ 2.2 billion iPhone from India in the last financial year. Similarly, smartphones of $ 1.26 billion were sent to Italy and $ 1.17 billion in Czech Republic. The smartphone exports for Tokyo also rose to $ 520 million in FY 2025, while in FY 2022-2023 it was just $ 120 million.
