There is usually no problem in traveling less than six months. There may be an investigation on returning to America in a journey from six months to one year. American bank account details – To show that financial transactions continue in the US.
American driving license – A proof of maintaining residence in America.

What to do if CBP officials challenge the green card when returning to America?
According to experts, do not sign any form, especially Form I-407, which is a record of leaving the legal permanent resident situation. If there is a problem with the officials during the question and answer, then demand a ‘deferred inspection’. If the CBP officer asks to leave the green card, request the immigration to the judge. This will not require to surrender the green card at the airport.
