Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) of Delhi, the capital of India, has now joined the list of top airports in the world. Airports Council International (ACI) recently released 2024 air connectivity rankings, which includes Delhi Airport in the top 10 hub airports in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East. This list shows which airport flights are available for how many cities and how easy transit is.
Delhi gets only space from India
Only Delhi Airport has got a place from India in this list. This means that Delhi Airport has now become India’s most important center for international flights.
How many cities are connected to Delhi Airport?
Delhi Airport is currently connected to 153 cities. It has 81 domestic cities (such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata) and 72 foreign cities (such as Tokyo, Washington, Bali, Montreal, Chicago)
What has been changed at the airport?
New buildings and facilities have been added at the airport. Now holding international flights from international has become easier and faster than before. Biometric machines have been installed for e-visited passengers, which takes less time for immigration.

Videha Kumar Jaipuriyar, CEO of Dial, a company running Delhi Airport, said to the media, “& ldquo; It is a matter of great pride for us that Delhi Airport is being counted among the top hubs in the world.” We will give better facilities in the coming time. & Rdquo;
The number of transfer passengers doubled
The number of passengers transferred from Delhi Airport has doubled in the last 10 years. Every year about 40 lakh people go abroad by catching domestic flights from Delhi. India’s 88 percent long distance flights and 56 percent international flights fly from Delhi.

Airport operator says that now India’s airlines are also using big ships, which is making Delhi a big air transit hub in the world. This success of Delhi Airport is not only from Delhi but from all over India. Now it has become easier to go to any corner of the world from India and now Delhi is becoming its center.
