Delhi budget 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented his first budget on Tuesday (March 25). In this, a big announcement was made about Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. A provision of Rs 5100 crore has been made. Under this scheme, every woman will get Rs 2500 per month.
Let us know that there was a fierce battle in the Delhi Assembly elections to provide cash to women every month. Then the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had announced to give Rs 2100 to every woman. The Congress also made similar announcements. However, the BJP government was formed. Now Rekha Gupta has allocated budget to give women money every month.
Rekha Gupta said, “For the financial year 2025-26, I propose ₹ 5100 crore for Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Appropriate budgetary provisions have also been made for other resolutions, such as increasing the quantity of Mukhyamantri Matru Vandana Yojana (MMMVY), for which an allocation of ₹ 210 crore has been proposed.
He said that similarly, for the farmers of Delhi, the state government will provide a top up of Rs 3000 crore.
What will be special in the Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana?
During pregnancy and after the birth of a child, ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)’ is being implemented in Delhi to meet nutritional needs, in which pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers are provided financial assistance through DBT mode.
To give additional support to this ongoing program, a new scheme ie ‘Mukhyamantri Matru Vandana Yojana (MMMVY)’ will be implemented, in which additional state top-ups will be increased. This will increase the total profit under the scheme to ₹ 21,000/-, as well as 6 nutrition kits. For the financial year 2025-26, I propose ₹ 210 crore for ‘Mukhyamantri Matri Vandana Yojana’.
