Head coach Gautam Gambhir said about winning the Test match at the press conference, “You score a thousand runs, but it cannot be a guarantee of victory. You will have to take 20 wickets to win the Test match. If we were successful in doing so, then success is certain.”
Regarding the strategy in England, Gautam Gambhir said, “We will play with our best playing XI, which can get us the result. Whether it is spin bowling all -rounder or a pace bowling all -rounder. Test matches can be won only by 20 wickets.”
Big update on Bumrah also
First Shubman Gill was asked questions about the workload management of Jaspreet Bumrah. Captain Gill said, “We have about 10 bowlers for the series. Whenever Jasprit Bumrah plays for the team, it is a very good thing, but we have bowlers who can compensate for the absence of Bumrah.”
The question was asked about Bumrah how many Tests he would play against England. To this, Gautam Gambhir said, “We have not yet decided which Test matches Jasprit Bumrah will play. It will also depend on the results of the matches.”
I was never a supporter of road show, not in its favor in 2007- Gautam Gambhir
India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir strongly criticized all the people involved in organizing RCB’s IPL title win ceremony. Gambhir said that even when I won the T20 World Cup in 2007, I was not in support of doing a road show. Gautam Gambhir said, “We need to be a citizen responsible in every aspect. Captain Shubman Gill said on the batting line-up, “We have not decided anything right now. We will play an intra-squad match. Will camp for 10 days. Then we will decide the combination of batting.”
