Why Gambhir stopped Pant from batting
On Sunday, when Team India’s practice session was going on in Becknham, Rishabh Pant first started batting against the throdge bowlers. He first focused on his footwork and timing and appeared in the rhythm during the practice. He then batted in a net session against spin bowlers Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav and then faced the balls of fast bowlers Jaspreet Bumrah, famous Krishna, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj.
Pant was seen in a very good rhythm during this practice. He was batting with confidence and focus, but then suddenly head coach Gautam Gambhir himself reached his nets. Gambhir stopped Pant from batting. Gambhir had some conversation with Pant for some time and then Dobra stayed there and started watching Rishabh Pant batting.
