Raja raghuwanshi murder case: A big revelation has been revealed in the case of a couple who came from Indore to Meghalaya Honeymoon. A week after the body of Raja Raghuvanshi was found, the Meghalaya police arrested his wife Sonam on charges of murder. Sonam has surrendered herself to Nandganj police station in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Raja and Sonam reached Mawlakhiyat village in Meghalaya on 22 May. He rented a scooter and then went to visit the village of Nongriyat, where he went down about 3000 stairs and went to see the ‘Living Route Bridge’. Both of them spent a homestay in the village on the night of 22 May and left from there on the morning of 23 May. After this, both went missing.
The king’s body was found in a ditch on June 2, which was about 20 km from his stay. The body was found with the help of a drone camera. The scooter was found in an abandoned condition near a cafe on 24 May, which was on the road between Shillong and Sohra.
Police started searching for Sonam with the help of people
After this incident, the police started searching Sonam with the help of the people of the village, but on May 30, due to heavy rains and low visibility, the rescue operation had to be stopped. According to the Meteorological Department, between 29 to 31 May, Sohra received about 500 mm of rain. The Raja’s postmortem report was prepared at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (Neigrihms).
Police arrested three more people besides Sonam
After Sonam surrendered, now DGP of Meghalaya Police I. Nongrang said that apart from Sonam, three more people have been arrested. He said, “Sonam had given betel nut to mercenary killers to kill her husband. The police is now looking for the rest of the accused.” Soon the entire conspiracy of murder and all the faces involved in it will be brought out.
Sonam’s father denied allegations against daughter
Sonam Raghuvanshi has now come up in the family about the allegations of being involved in the conspiracy to kill husband Raja Raghuvanshi. Surprising on the allegations against the daughter, Sonam’s father Devi Singh said, “My daughter cannot kill anyone. I do not trust the Meghalaya Police. I still demand a CBI inquiry into the matter.”
On the other hand, Vipin Raghuvanshi, elder brother of King Raghuvanshi, claimed that Sonam was involved in the conspiracy to kill. He said, “Sonam and his brother Govind were in constant touch with Raj Kushwaha. Raj used to work in our office itself.”
