Ulema has told against Islam to sacrifice himself in sacrifice on Bakrid. He says that it is forbidden to commit suicide in Islam. Alim Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora, the patron and famous Alim Maulana Kari of Jamiat Dawatul Musleeme, said that the incident of sacrifice for Bakrid’s sacrifice in Deoria causes serious concern and regrets in Islamic circles.
On Saturday (June 7, 2025), a man named Ish Mohammed sacrificed himself in the sacrifice of Bakrid in Udhopur village of Gauri Bazar police station area of Deoria district. After strangling, he continued to suffer for an hour. He was taken to the hospital, but he died during treatment. He had written a letter before dying and said that he is sacrificing himself in the name of Allah’s Rasool instead of the animal.
Maulana said that there is suicide in Islam. This is not only a big crime, but such a person rejects the given life of Allah, which is against the Islamic Akida. He said that it is a very regrettable incident that today there is a lack of Islamic training and understanding among ordinary Muslims. He said, ‘The purpose of sacrifice is not to kill the animal, but the order of Allah’s order, but it is not justified in Sharia, nor in humanity.
Maulana said that Islam is a religion of understanding and Ilm. The limits, methods and motives of every work have been decided by Sharia. Cutting one’s own neck is neither sacrifice, nor worship but it is the deception of the devil.
Ish Mohammed was 60 years old. He wrote a letter before he died. In this letter, he said, ‘A person sacrifices a goat in his house like a son, he is also an organism. Should be sacrificed, I myself am doing my sacrifice in the name of Allah’s Rasool. Nobody has murdered me. Giving soil with peace is not afraid. The place where there is a peg, should be my grave.
