On June 4, there was a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in which 11 people died. On June 6, 4 people including Nikhil Sosale were arrested.
Nikhil Sosale has got bail on the condition of depositing passports. Remind that the Karnataka High Court had postponed the hearing in this case till Wednesday. Now, besides the marketing head of Justice SR Krishna Kumar Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited, Nikhil Sosale passed the order for bail by accepting the petitions of 3 others.
The argument was presented by the petitioners that he was arrested on the orders of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah without any investigation. He also said that he was arrested by the police, who had no right to conduct any investigation or arrest in the stampede case. At the same time, the state government stated the arrest of 4 people right and said that the police had arrested all the legal procedures and arrested them.
The court had put a question in front of the CM of Karnataka whether he had issued an order to arrest RCB officials in the stampede case. The government has not said anything about this in its arguments or written statements.
