Air India Plane Crash: Air India flight crashed in Ahmedabad taking 242 passengers to London. Expressing grief over the accident, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said that he has activated all emergency teams. Along with this, AAIB’s DG, Investigation Director and Go Team have also left for Ahmedabad. Rammohan Naidu has canceled all his programs and reached Ahmedabad.
The Ministry of Aviation said that he was in Vijayawada to participate in the NDA government’s first anniversary programs, immediately reached Ahmedabad as soon as the news of the aircraft accident was received. Taking this incident very promptly, the minister stopped his program in the middle and now he has gone to personally to monitor the situation at the ground level.
Rammohan Naidu in touch with officials
The ministry further said, Rammohan Naidu is in constant touch with senior officials of DGCA, AAI, NDRF and Gujarat State Administration to ensure quick, coordinated response and assistance. Rescue and medical teams are on the spot. The safety and emergency response of passengers remains the highest priority. On the development of the situation, further information will be shared by the Ministry.
Crashed between 1 to 2 pm
Naidu said in an online post, “I am shocked and shocked to know about the plane crash in Ahmedabad. We are on the highest alert. I am personally monitoring the situation and directed all the aviation and emergency response agencies to take quick and coordinated action.”
The Dreamliner aircraft crashed between 1 to 2 pm. The minister said that the officials are providing medical help and relief at the accident site. He further wrote in his post, “The rescue team has been deployed and all efforts are being made to take medical support and relief assistance to the spot. My condolences and prayers are with all the people in the aircraft and their families.”
