Iran responds to India’s appeal
Tehran said that even though the airspace of Iran is closed, all the ground roads are open and Indian citizens can go out safely from there. Iran’s Foreign Minister has assured India that their diplomats and common citizens will be helped in safe withdrawal.
What did the Iranian Ministry of External Affairs say?
The Iranian Ministry of External Affairs said, “Due to the current situation and due to the closure of the airport, we want to tell that all the ground roads are open, so that people can go out.”
Iran’s appeal to India
Iran has appealed to India that all those who want to go out of the country by ground path, their names, passport number, vehicle information, travel time and which limit they will go out, all these information should be given to the General Protocol Department of Iran. With this, Iran will be able to make necessary arrangements so that the journey of diplomats and other people can be safe.
Indian citizens trapped in Iran
Thousands of Indians are stranded in many cities of Iran due to the ongoing missile attacks between Israel and Iran. These include more than 1,500 Indian students, mostly from Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian students shifted at security places
On Monday (June 16, 2025), India said that some Indian students living in Iran have been shifted to safe areas there. It was also said that what other measures can be taken, it is also being considered.
The Ministry of External Affairs said, “The Indian embassy in Tehran is monitoring the situation and is in constant touch with the students. Some students have been sent to safe places with the help of the embassy.” The embassy has also shared a Google form and has asked Indians to fill their information in it.
