Yograj singh accused bcci: Yograj Singh remains in the discussion due to his sharp statements, now he has questioned the Selection Committee of BCCI. In fact, he has raised questions on the selection committee, not the current selection committee but during the 2010 and 2011 World Cup. Yograj Singh says that the BCCI had ruined the career of many senior players after the 2011 World Cup. He also named Gautam Gambhir to his son Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh.
‘7 players’ career went into gutter’
During the talks with Inside Sport, Yograj Singh said that the BCCI ruined the career of these players without reason. He took the names of Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Kaif, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid. Recall that after the defeat on a foreign tour against England and Australia in 2011-12, Indian players started announcing retirement one by one.
MS Dhoni’s career ends …
Yograj Singh claimed that Mohinder Amarnath used to be one of the selectors at the time of 2011-2012 and he tried to get MS Dhoni out of the team. He said, “You had destroyed the team after the 2011 World Cup. The career of 7 players was put in ‘Gutter’, that is why we had to struggle. When MS Dhoni was the captain, we had to lose 5 series. Mohinder Amarnath told Dhoni that he would be replaced.”
History is a witness that after the 2011 World Cup win, either the old players had retired in an interval of 18 months or they were dropped from the team. At the same time, MS Dhoni said goodbye to Test cricket in 2014 amidst the bad records in the Test.
