Visavadar Assembly bypoll Result 2025: The votes of the by -elections held on two assembly seats in Gujarat and the kudhi were counted on Monday. In this by -election, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gopal Italia has won the Visavadar seat. He has defeated BJP candidate Kirit Patel.
According to the data shared by the Election Commission, Gopal Italia got 75942 votes, while his close rival and BJP candidate Kirit Patel got 58388 votes. In this way Gopal Italia defeated Kirit Patel by 17554 votes.
How many votes did the Congress candidate get?
Apart from this, the Congress gave ticket to Nitin Ranparia on this seat. In the by -election, Congress candidate Nitin Ranparia got only 5501 votes and he was third.
By -election in Visavadar seat was held on June 19
Please tell that the by -election was held on June 19 in Visavadar seat. Officials said that in the by -election held on June 19, Visavadar constituency of Junagadh district had 56.89 percent polling.
The seat was vacated after Bhupendra Bhayani’s resignation
Significantly, the Visavadar seat was vacant in December 2023 after the then ‘AAP’ MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned in the ruling BJP.
BJP has 161 MLAs in Gujarat
BJP has 161 MLAs in the 182 -member assembly of Gujarat, while Congress has 12 and ‘AAP’ MLAs. The Samajwadi Party has one seat and two seats are independent MLAs.
