When the chariot journey of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra took place in Puri, Odisha today, the country’s famous industrialist Gautam Adani also joined the whole family. His wife Preeti Adani and son Karan Adani also came to participate in this grand religious event. The Adani family not only participated in the puja recitation, but also participated in the service to prepare offerings for God.
Adani Group becomes the support of the service of devotees
This Rath Yatra of Puri is not only India, but a big religious attraction for the whole world, in which millions of devotees gather. During this nine -day festival, Adani Group is helping devotees and local administration at every level. Through the Adani Foundation, this service campaign is being operated on a large scale, in which special arrangements have been made from food to security.

The Adani Group has resolved to distribute the estimated four crore food and beverages during this rath yatra, which runs from 26 June to 8 July. Food centers have been built at many places in Puri where devotees, volunteers and frontline workers are being given food and cold water for free. In view of the hot weather, stalls of special cold beverages have also been set up everywhere, so that devotees can get relief from heat and heat.
Special arrangements for security and convenience
Service is not limited to food only. The Adani Group has distributed Florescent jackets to the sanitation workers, T-shirts to volunteers and raincoats, caps and umbrellas to security forces and devotees. Apart from this, logistics support is also being provided to lifeguards in collaboration with Puri Beach Lifeguard Federation, so that safety of people coming to the sea can be ensured.
Service being done with local institutions and ISKCON
This entire service campaign is being run in association with Puri district administration, ISKCON and local civil society organizations. Gautam Adani had earlier done a similar service work during the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, where he had provided food distribution and facilities with religious institutions and local bodies.
Adani family on the path of ‘service to practice’
Gautam Adani said on this occasion, "We tried to ‘practice from service’ for the first time in Mahakumbh. Today, in this grand journey of Jagannath Puri, we have resolved to further it." Through his presence and service works in Puri’s Rath Yatra, it is clear that now the corporate world is also actively becoming a partner in the confluence of faith and service.
