Now, with the aim of encouraging the promising students of the country and removing their economic troubles, the Central Government has once again launched the Prime Minister Yashaswi Scholarship Scheme 2025 (PM Yasasvi Scholarship 2025). Under this scheme, scholarships ranging from 75,000 to 1,25,000 will be given to meritorious students of OBC (Other Backward Classes) community.
Who can apply,
This scholarship is especially for those students who are currently studying in class 9 or 11 and come from OBC class. But only caste certificate is not enough. Along with this, some important conditions will also have to be fulfilled. The annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed 2.5 lakhs.

The student is studying in a school which has given 100 percent board results in class 10th and 12th in the last years. If you live up to these criteria, then this scholarship can become a golden opportunity for you.
How much will you get scholarship?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Yashasvi Yojana, students of class 9 will get a scholarship of Rs 75,000, class 11 students will get scholarship of Rs 1,25,000. This amount will be sent to the bank accounts associated with the Aadhaar of the students through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Last date of application
The last date for online application has been fixed on 31 August 2025. In such a situation, eligible students are advised not to wait for the last date and complete the registration process as soon as possible.
How to apply?
Candidates should first register by visiting NSP portal scholarships.gov.in. For this, first download the “NSP OTR” app (available on Google Play Store). Get One Time Registration (OTR) number through Aadhaar -based face authentication through the app. Mobile number linked to Aadhar card is required. If the student is a minor and is not the base, the parents’ base can be used.
