Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Election Commission: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi fiercely targeted the Central Government over the Election Commission and Aadhaar card in a press conference on Tuesday. Owaisi said that efforts are being made to spread fear and discrimination against Muslims in the country, and the constitutional rights of common citizens are being violated.

Owaisi raised questions

Asaduddin Owaisi, raising the question, said, “In today’s era, people are going to the hotel asking for Aadhaar card and saying that if you do not show, then you will have to take off the pants. Who are you who will decide? Who will go to the hotel and give you the right to ask?

Question on Election Commission regarding Bihar

Owaisi also raised strong objection to review of the voter list being done by the Election Commission in Bihar. He said, “In a state like Bihar, where areas like Seemanchal face flood, how can you work on the voter list in such a hurry? When the election was held in 2024, the same was the same voter list. Now why suddenly the reshuffle?”

‘The rights of the people of Bihar are being taken away’, said Owaisi

Owaisi said that his party is fully ready for Bihar elections. He further said, “We are a force in Bihar and will register our presence firmly in the upcoming assembly elections.” He has demanded from the Election Commission that he should immediately call an all-party meeting and work as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
