Ramayana budget: The excitement of fans has increased since the release of the video showing the first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor’s Big Budget film ‘Ramayana’. Even before this, many big budget films have been made in India, but the budget in which this film is being made has not been set in any Indian film till date.
Bollywood Hungama quoted the film’s producer Namit Malhotra, close to and reliable sources that the total cost of Rs 1600 crore is coming in making this film franchise. The film is going to beat Kalki 2898 AD (600 crores), RRR and Adipurush (both ₹ 550 crore) among the most expensive films.
Actually this budget is going to be bigger
Bollywood Hungama has told in its report that the first part of the film will be made for Rs 900 crore, while the second part will be prepared for Rs 700 crore. However, it has also been told that it does not include the cost of print and advertising. It is clear that this budget can increase by several hundred crores as soon as you mix the cost of print and advertisement.
Why the budget of the second film is less than before?
The media outlet, quoting the source, also told that the budget of the second part is going to be reduced before, because the set and the creation’s buildup as well as the design which will be used in the first film will also be useful for the other. Only action sequences will be saved for the second part. The producers of the film are looking at the budget according to a franchise, not keeping the budget of the first and second part separately.
The film’s starcast will get strong fees
According to Politics.com, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram in the film, is taking 75-75 crores i.e. 150 crores for every part. At the same time, Sai Pallavi, who appears in Sita’s role, will charge a fee of 12 crore by taking 6-6 crores for every part. The film also has Sunny Deol and Yash, who have not yet been revealed on the fees received.
Let me tell you that in some old reports it was claimed that Yash Total is going to charge Rs 200 crore for the role of Ravana. According to the report of Hindustan Times, Yash can charge more than the lead character of the film. The first part of this film to be made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari will be released in Diwali 2026 and the second Diwali in 2027.
