Japan earthquake: In Japan, there was a strong tremor of earthquake once again. The earthquake occurred in Tatsugo on Saturday (5 July 2025). The intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was measured 5.4. Its epicenter was 10 km deep inside the ground. Recently, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake was felt in Amami Kagoshima.
The Asian country is located in the Japan Pacific Ocean. This is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, which comes in the list of more earthquake affected places. This is the place where three tectonic plates pacific, Philippines and Eurasian plates are available. Because of this, earthquake tremors are felt in different parts every day in Japan. The Torakara region of Japan has 1500 earthquakes every year. Torakara has a total of 12 islands, where 700 people live in total.
Earth moved 183 times a day in Takara Islands
According to The Guardian report, Takara Islands in Japan caused floods of earthquakes in recent days. On 23 June 2025, 183 earthquakes were recorded in a single day. This number is many times more than any normal day. The situation after that has also been no less worrying. Earthquake tremors were felt on June 26, 16 on June 27, 34 on June 28 and 98 on June 29.
Why do so many earthquakes come in Japan?
This is not the first time the Tarakara Islands have become the center of such earthquake swarm. The figures of previous years confirm this. While 346 earthquakes occurred in September 2024, 308 earthquake tremors were felt in December 2021. From this it is clear that this area is geographically quite active and sensitive.
