Guru Dutt films
Guru Dutt started his acting by playing the role of Shri Krishna in ‘Chand’ in the year 1944. A total of 8 Hindi films were directed by Guru Dutt, including Baji (1951), Jal (1952), Baz (1953), Awar (1954), Mr. and Mrs. 55 (1955), CID (1956), Pyaasa (1957) and paper flowers (1959). His film Pyaasa was included in the list of 100 best films of Time magazine, while & lsquo; paper flowers & rsquo; India’s first cinemasop was a film made with technology. He himself used to keep responsibility for the actor, director, producer, choreographer and writer.
His last film was Rishikesh Mukherjee’s ‘Sanjh and Savara’ in 1964, in which he worked with Meena Kumari. He died on 10 October 1964 at the age of just 39 years. However, some people consider his death an accident as some suicide.
