  • In the next step, you have to enter your new address. After this, you choose the post office and upload the scan copy of the address proof.
  • After checking the details, now you have to submit it by filling a fee of Rs 50.
  • After submitting the fee, you will get a service request number, so that you can track the status.

Which documents are valid

UIDAI recognizes more than 15 address proof documents. It includes passport, bank statement, ration card, voter ID, gas, electricity water bills which should not be 3 months old, insurance policy, property tax receipt and Kiryanama. Along with this, identity cards like PAN card, passport or voter ID may also be needed to change the address in the Aadhaar card.

How to download new base after addressing address

  • After updating the address in the Aadhaar card, you click on the download Aadhaar on the UIDAI website to download it.
  • After this you have to enter Aadhaar number, captcha code and OTP.
  • Now you will see the option of verifying and download, you have to click on it. After this, you will see the option of PDF download, through this you can download PDF of Aadhaar card.
  • This downloaded e-Aadhaar is valid everywhere. If you want a physical copy, then you can also ask for a reprint for 50 rupees from UIDAI.

Can there be updates without address proof

Many people also have the question whether the address can be updated without address proof. So the answer is that without address proof, the address cannot be updated. According to UIDAI policy, a valid address proof document is mandatory to change the address in the Aadhaar card. For this, whether you adopt online process or offline.
