Importance of Sawan Monday: Sawan month is considered extremely sacred in Hinduism, especially for the worship of Lord Shiva. The atmosphere has become devotional with the cheers of ‘Har-Har Mahadev’ and ‘Bol Bomb’. Kavad Yatra has special significance in the month of Sawan, in which millions of devotees bring Ganga water and offer it to Shivling.
Worshiping Chief Minister: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also worshiped Lord Shiva today. He anointed the Shivling with Belpatra and Ganga water and prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the state. The Chief Minister also gave a message of welcoming the Kanwari by wishing the people of the state on social media.
The Chief Minister has given instructions to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees during the Kandar Yatra. He prayed to Lord Shiva to fulfill the wishes of all the Kanwari and welcomed the devotees coming to Uttarakhand with heart.
Religious beliefs: The month of Sawan is connected to the water element and the moon, which indicates the special effect of Shiva. This is the reason that Shiva devotion is considered special fruitful this month. Sawan Monday fast has been considered a means of happiness, peace, prosperity and spiritual progress in life.
