Tesla has launched its first showroom in India on 15 July 2025 at BKC (Bandra-Kurla Complex) of Mumbai. Indian customers were waiting for this special day for a long time. Now with the launch of Model Y, Tesla’s official journey has started in India. In films, you must have seen such a character many times who come from outside and gradually become the owner of a big company. A similar incident happened in the real life of Alan Musk and Tesla.
Story of Alan Musk and Tesla
- Often people believe that Tesla was started by Allen Musk, but the reality is that the foundation of this company was laid on 1 July 2003 by two engineers – Martin Aberhard and Mark Torpening. Both of them had a dream to make an electric car that is not only safe for the environment, but also in terms of performance, not less than any petrol or diesel car.
- He named the company after the great scientist Nikola Tesla, who discovered the alternating current. At that time electric cars were seen as impractical and expensive dreams, but these two engineers never gave up.
Alan Musk’s entry and Tesla’s rebirth
In 2004, Elon Musk invested $ 6.5 million in the company and became the chairman through the Series A Funding Round. Initially he was only one investor, but gradually he took everything from product design to the company’s vision.
In 2008, when the company was on the verge of almost bankrupt, Musk took the company alive by taking over as CEO. During this time he also got the status of co-founder, although there was a legal dispute on it and in 2009 the decision came in favor of Musk.
Tesla’s first car
- In 2008, Tesla launched its first car Roadster, which was a completely electric sports car. This car could catch the speed of 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and once charged it used to run for about 320 kilometers.
- This car proved the world that electric vehicles can also be fast, stylish and powerful. Tesla completely changed the perceptions of old -time electric cars.
When Musk sent a car into space
- In 2018, Alan Musk introduced this roadster again in front of the world in a unique way. He sent it to space through a rocket of his second company Spacex. This car is still circling the Earth’s orbit and in a way has become the first “space car” of the universe.
- Alan Musk made a special strategy for Tesla which he named “S3xy”. Under this strategy, Tesla introduced four different models, which were created keeping in mind the different classes.
- MODEL S, launched in 2012, was a luxury sedan designed especially for Elite Class. This was followed by Model X, which came in 2015, a family SUV with Falcon Wing Doors and Fantastic Hitech interior.
- In 2017, Tesla launched Model 3, which was the company’s first cheap car and also opened the way to connect middle class customers with electric vehicles. After this, Tesla introduced Model Y in 2020, which is a compact SUV and has now been launched in India.
- This car has become increasingly popular worldwide due to its popularity and practical design. Let us know that India is the next big market for Tesla, where the company will not only sell cars but can also plan local manufacturing in future.
