West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once again took out a huge protest march in Kolkata, keeping her Bengali identity at the center, soaked in heavy rains. This protest of Mamata Banerjee was held on Wednesday (July 16, 2025) against the alleged harassment of Bengali speaking people in BJP ruled states.
This protest march, which took place in Kolkata, also showed the solidarity of the ruling party of the state Trinamool Congress (TMC). Abhishek Banerjee and all the top leaders of the party were also present along with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of the state.
Mamta Banerjee again put ,Played hobe, Slogan
During the three -kilometer long March on the streets of Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee and all the people in protest raised slogans against the BJP and raised slogans of ‘BJP, Chhi Chhi’. At the same time, while addressing a huge public meeting during March, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee openly challenged the central government. He said, “I have decided that now I will speak more in Bengali. Put me in the detention camp. BJP, played Hobe. Just wait.”

Mamta Banerjee accused BJP
Mamta Banerjee alleged, “The BJP government has issued a notification. It says that suspected Bangladeshi citizens should be arrested and kept in the detention camp. This notification has been sent to all BJP ruled states. We will challenge this notification in court. Will you put every Bengali speaker in jail?”
He said, “BJP calls all Bengali speaking people to Bangladeshi Rohingya. Rohingya lives in Myanmar. Here, all the citizens of West Bengal have identity cards, they have not gone out of Bengal, they have not gone on their own, but they have got work because they have skills, whoever speaks, whoever speaks, is not a part of India?”
