There is big news for the youth dreaming of becoming a government teacher in West Bengal. West Bengal School Services Commission (WBSSC) has extended the last date for application for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Teacher. Earlier, where the last date of application was fixed on 14 July, now candidates can apply online till July 21, 2025. This recruitment is for assistant teachers of 9th-10th and 11th-12th grade.
More than 35 thousand posts will be recruited

Qualification and selection process
To apply in this recruitment, candidates must have a B.Ed degree from a recognized university. Along with this, other educational qualifications have also been decided by the Commission, which are given in detailed notification.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination. A total of 60 multiple choice questions will be asked in this examination, which will be of 60 marks. The good thing is that there will be no negative marking in the examination, that is, no marks will be deducted on the wrong answer.
Fees and reservation
While applying, candidates of general, OBC and EWS category will have to pay Rs 500 and SC, ST and Divyang candidates will have to pay Rs 200 application fee.
Age limit and discount
The minimum age of the candidates is 21 years and the maximum age is 40 years. However, reserved classes will get age discount as per rules. SC/ST class will get 5 years discount and OBC class will get 3 years and Divyang candidates will get 8 years exemption.

Now register a new registration in which fill the necessary details like name, mobile number and email ID. Then login and fill personal information, educational qualification etc. in the application form. After this, scan passport size photos, signature and educational certificate and upload it. Now pay online fees according to your category. Click on submit button and finally keep the printout of the application safe.
