- The story of Rolls-Royce began when Charles Rolls, who was a car dealer, and Henry Royce, who was an engineer, met in Manchester in 1904. By that time, Royce was upset with his bad duct car and he decided to build a better car.

How did the story of Rolls-Royce 10 HP begin?
- Henry Royce had a deauville car, which was repeatedly spoiled and made a lot of noise. Troubled by this, he decided to build his own car in 1903 and prepared three Royce 10 prototypes. The running of these vehicles was very smooth and they had much better technology than the rest of the cars of that time. One of these was later known as Rolls-Royce 10 HP.

- It had a 1995cc twin-cylinder engine, which used to give 12 horsepower at 1000 rpm. Its wheelbase was 75 inches and it had leaf spring suspension, causing the ride to be comfortable.
- This car could run up to a top speed of 39 miles/h (about 60 km/h), which was considered very fast according to that time. Its radiator was of a triangle (Triangle) size, which later became a special identity of Rolls-Royce.

- In 1904, the Rolls-Royce 10 HP was displayed in the Paris Motor Show. In this show, the company also introduced other models like 15 HP with 10 HP, but the cool engine technology and premium design of 10 HP attracted everyone.
- Only 16 Rolls-Royce 10 HP models were created. One of them whose chassis number was 20154, sold in 2007 for £ 3.5 million (about ₹ 35 crore). This car belonged to Henry Royce’s own. It is today considered a collectors dream car.
- Rolls-Royce 10 HP was not just a car, but the same vehicle became the foundation of the starting and identity of the Rolls-Royce brand. This car later became the inspiration for famous models such as Silver Ghost, Phantom, and today’s most advanced rolls-royce vehicles.
