BJP MP and actress Kiran Kher, who has been a Lok Sabha MP from Chandigarh for 10 years, has created problems. The Assistant Controller (Finance and Controller) of Chandigarh has sent a notice to Kher regarding the fare of government housing. It has been said in the notice that Rs 12.76 lakh should be paid for T-6/23 residence in Sector-seven.
According to the news agency PTI, officials said that in the notice, Kiran Kher has been asked to pay the license fee for immediate housing, otherwise 12 percent annual interest will also be charged. License fee is charged by the local administration for government houses.
What time is outstanding
According to the notice, a license fee of Rs 5,725 is outstanding for the period from July 2023 to October 5, 2024, while from October 6, 2024 to 5 January 2025, a 100 percent fine has been imposed, assuming ‘unauthorized’ possession, which is Rs 3.64 lakh.
At the same time, for the period from January 6 to April 12, 2025 (the scheduled date of vacancy of the complex), a fine of 200 percent has been imposed, which is Rs 8.20 lakh.
The Assistant Controller (Finance and Controller) Rent Office also mentions the notice that Rs 26,106 has been added as 12 percent annual interest and Rs 59,680 as other fees. Kiran Kher has been asked to deposit this amount through ‘demand draft’ or ‘bank transfer’.
Kiran Kher did not get tickets in 2024 elections
Kiran Kher was first given ticket by BJP in 2014. After this, she was also elected MP in 2019. However, in the 2014 elections, the party cut the ticket. BJP gave ticket to Sanjay Tandon. However, he had to face defeat at the hands of Congress candidate Manish Tiwari.
Kiran Kher is not very active after the ticket was cut. However, on her social media accounts, she has been continuously posting posts with the government.
