Team India suffered a major setback on the first day of the fourth Test, when Rishabh Pant went out of the field. Pant retired after scoring 37 runs off 48 balls. The vice -captain of Team India was hurt when he was trying to play a sweep shot off the ball of Chris Woakes. The ball went straight to his right leg. After this, he could not even walk, he was taken out of the ambulance. BCCI gave official updates on his injury.
Rishabh Pant was hurt in the 68th over of the match. Pant wanted to say reverse sweep shot off Chris Woakes, but he was completely missed on this full toss ball. The ball went straight to his right foot shoes. Pant was in pain, immediately came on the field. Pant took off the shoe and saw that light blood was also coming out. After some time, swelling also started appearing on his leg. He was unable to walk, after which the ambulance was called to the ground and taken out.
