A case has come up from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, which has embarrassed humanity. A poor woman went to the hospital for treatment, but both of her kidneys were missing when she returned. He later died. The ED, which is investigating this case, has filed a charge sheet against two main accused in the court.
Actually, a woman named Sunita Devi went to Shubhakant Clinic for treatment with her mother Tetri Devi. Sunita Devi had a problem in Utrus, so she reached there to conduct the operation. There Pawan Kumar and Ravindra Kumar alias R.K. Singh said that the operation is necessary and demanded 20 thousand rupees for this. Sunita and her family arranged for the money and got the operation done.
Just had to remove utrus, took out both kidneys
After the operation, Sunita’s health continued to deteriorate and she stopped coming to urin. When he was investigated, everyone was surprised because both his kidneys were missing. In the operation in which the utraus was to be removed, his kidney was taken out. When Sunita’s condition worsened, the family took her to another hospital, where 40 thousand rupees were recovered from them. That is, a total of 60 thousand were cheated in the name of treatment and finally Sunita Devi died on 21 October 2024.
ED is investigating
The case started after an FIR lodged at Sakra police station in Muzaffarpur. In the case, sections were imposed under IPC and Human Organ Transplant Act 1994. After this, ED started investigation in this case. Investigation revealed that Pawan Kumar and Ravindra Kumar together hatched this conspiracy. He took advantage of Sunita Devi’s compulsion and poverty and took out her kidney in the name of treatment. Later, on the pretext of treatment, he also took money from his family. The ED has considered the amount of 60 thousand as the amount earned from Crime.
The ED filed a charge sheet on 17 June 2025 in Patna’s Special Court PMLA. The court took cognizance of this charge sheet on 17 July 2025. In this case, Pawan Kumar has been convicted by SC/ST Special Court Patna and sentenced him. At the same time Ravindra Kumar aka R.K. The trial against Singh is still going on in the court.
