A racist haafti slogans were found to be written in a Hindu temple in Melbourne, Australia and two Asian restaurants. According to the report of Australia Today web portal, the temple of Shri Swaminarayan Swamy is located on the Wadharst Drive in Boronia, Eastern Suburb of Melbourne and on the morning of Monday (July 21, 2025), racist things were written on the walls of the temple.

At the same time, according to the report of the portal, on Monday (July 21), the same type of abusive words were written on two Asian restaurants on Boronia Road in Melbourne.

The report said that the Victoria Police of Australia has confirmed the incident. Victoria police said, “There is absolutely no place for hatred and racist behavior in our society.”

Hindu community sought support from inter -religious groups

According to the web portal report, Makarand Bhagwat, president of the Hindu Council of Australia, Victoria Chapter, shocked by this incident, said, “It seems like an attack on our identity, our rights to worship and religious freedom.” At the same time, in the meantime, the Hindu community has condemned this act and urged the inter -religious groups to support after the incident.

The report also said that Victoria’s Prime Minister Jasinta Alan, Australia’s Victoria, in a private message sent to the management of the Hindu temple, has described these hatred slogans as disgust and racist.

It was not just to spoil the form of the temple, but it was a deliberate attempt to spread hatred. The aim that the people living in different environment were to unleash and spread fear.”
