Opposition political parties of India Block on Sunday (July 27, 2025) targeted the Election Commission (ECI) of the Election Commission (ECI) on the special intensive revision (SIR) process of the voter list in Bihar. Other opposition parties, including the Congress, held a press conference and accused the Election Commission of cutting the names of voters of the voter list in Bihar. He said that the SIR process released in Bihar is completely unclear, wrong figures and ego of the institution.
At the same time, senior Congress party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi has demanded to stop this process immediately, citing data released under the SIR process in Bihar. Singhvi said, “According to the data received by the Election Commission, more than 63 lakh voters have not been detected in Bihar, including dead voters, permanently leaving Bihar and other reasons. So this process should be stopped immediately.”

Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, “This process released by the Election Commission in Bihar is not only affected by the voters of India block, but also the voters associated with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).” He clearly talked about taking this matter in front of people.
The MP said, “This whole process is full of institutional ego. This process is completely unclear and full of many mistakes. It is not the process being done in any way to improve the voter list, but the name of voters is being extracted from the list through this process in the name of verification.”

So this is being done to snatch people’s right to vote completely. ”
