During the monsoon session, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi gave his statement on the Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday (July 29, 2025). Leader of the Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha that after the Pahalgam terror attack, the government tied the hands of the pilots, but in 1971, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gave the army an open exemption.
He said, “The Government of India has made a mistake. We have a fight with someone and we tell him that brother, we do not want to fight now. We have slapped you, another will not slap the other. The mistake was not of the army, not the government.”

The government has told that you do not have the will to fight- Rahul Gandhi
He said, “The Defense Minister said in the House that we told Pakistan at 1.35 pm that we have attacked terrorist bases. It was not escalate. Now there should be no escalation. You surrendered in front of Pakistan in 30 minutes. It has not been the will to fight.
