The political stir has intensified before this year’s assembly elections in Bihar. The opposition Grand Alliance has made a big announcement that after Rakshabandhan, rally and travel will be held in the entire state. It will include Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav himself. There will be these rallies in a total of 9 divisions and the failures of the current NDA government will be exposed to the public.

The meeting of the coordination committee of the Grand Alliance was held in Patna on Tuesday, in which many important decisions were taken. After the meeting, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said in a conversation with the media, ‘Law and order situation in Bihar is very bad. About 100 people have been killed in the last 10 days. Criminals are running the government. A scam of 70 thousand crores has come out in the CAG report, we will go among the public on this issue.

Announcement of August Revolution

Tejashwi said that we will celebrate the month of August as ‘August Revolution’. After Rakshabandhan, all the big leaders of the Grand Alliance will go among the public and open the poll of the government. He said, ‘I will also go to every district myself. We will go from village to village, booth-booth and tell the public whether something is going wrong in Bihar.

He also informed that Rahul Gandhi himself will be part of this visit and will go to all nine divisions and rally. Along with this, the issue of cutting the name in the voter list will also be raised.

Support of Bihar Congress

Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram also told after the meeting that the grand alliance will now enter the electoral fray with full force. He said, ‘We have decided that Rahul Gandhi will come to Bihar and rally with all the leaders. We will surround the government on issues like corruption, unemployment, inflation and name cutting from the voter list.

Government retaliation

On the other hand, responding to the allegations of the opposition, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the scam of 70 thousand crores which is being talked about is actually of the tenure of the Grand Alliance. He said, ‘Every pie will be accounted for to the Accountant General. We are ready to answer.

Emperor Chaudhary also said that the Nitish government has increased the honorarium of ASHA workers from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000, which is a big step. He said that whatever rhetoric that is being made against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is unfortunate. Chaudhary said, “It is not right to use such words for those Chief Ministers who developed so much in Bihar.”

Battle of Nitish vs Lalu

Emperor Chaudhary, while attacking the opposition, said that the next election will be held amidst “Destruction of Nitish Kumar’s development vs Lalu Yadav”. He said that Lalu Yadav is a registered criminal and a case is going on in the court against him.

He also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said, ‘Today Rahul Gandhi talks about OBC, SC, ST, but when there was a Congress government, how much activity was shown in giving reservation? If reservation had been received at the right time, today people of these classes would have been in big positions.

Tightened competition fixed

While the Grand Alliance is going among the public with the failures of the government, the NDA is claiming to contest elections on the issue of development. Both sides have made it clear that this time the election of Bihar will be directly a fight for development vs. corruption.
