A golden opportunity has come to light for the youth dreaming of government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has issued a notification for bumper recruitment on the posts of office attendant/attendant (special). The special thing is that only 10th pass candidates can apply for this recruitment. In such a situation, this is a great opportunity for those youth who have been waiting for a government job for a long time.
When will the application start?
The application process for this recruitment will start from 25 August 2025 and will run till 24 September 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting BSSC’s official website bssc.bihar.gov.in within the stipulated time. The application will be valid only through online medium, applications made through any offline medium will not be accepted.
What should be the qualification?
To apply for office attendant posts, the candidate must pass 10th/matriculation or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. Apart from this, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years. The maximum age limit has been determined separately according to the categories. For general class men, this limit is 37 years, 40 years for backward and extremely backward class men and women, 40 years for unreserved women and maximum age for Scheduled Caste/Tribe 42 years. Divyang candidates will get an additional discount of 10 years in all categories.
How much will the application fee have to be paid?
The application fee has also been fixed for this recruitment. The unreserved class, backward class and all the candidates outside the state of Bihar will have to pay 540 fees. While fee has been kept at 135 for women candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Divyangajan and all categories.
How will the selection process be?
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination. This exam will be of objective type in which a total of 100 questions will be asked. 4 marks will be given for every correct answer while 1 point will be deducted on the wrong answer. Questions will be asked from general Hindi, general knowledge and mathematics subjects.
What percentage marks will be required?
To pass the written examination, unreserved class candidates will have to score a minimum of 40% marks. This limit for backward classes has been fixed 36.5%, 34% for extremely backward class and minimum 32% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Divyang and Women Candidates.
