Mahayogi Gorakhnath Hospital of Gorakhnath University (MGUG) of Gorakhpur has recently carried out extremely difficult cancer surgery. Here, the 76 -year -old elderly patient from Kanyakumari did the operation of rare parotid gland cancer. The surgery was led by Cancer Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Maheshwari.

The patient had a problem

This patient had rare and difficult cancer in the salivary gland. Even after getting treatment in many places, the patient was not relieved. The team of doctors carried out this difficult surgery with Suprahayoid block dissection. After surgery, the patient’s condition is stable and he is recovering rapidly.

3.5 kg tumor surgery in Gorakhpur AIIMS

At the same time, Gorakhpur AIIMS has also achieved a big achievement. The doctors here took out a football -shaped tumor from the stomach of 33 -year -old Deepika Kumari, who is struggling with kidney cancer, due to about 3.5 kg. Deepika, who hails from Amleri in Gorakhpur, was troubled by stomach pain, fever and weakness for about three months. Even after traveling many hospitals, their illness could not be detected properly. Her husband Champu Rai took her to the Surgery Department of Gorakhpur AIIMS. Here the Head of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Gaurav Gupta and his team scanned the city of the patient, in which the big tumor was seen as a big tumor in the left kidney. The tumor was stuck to the stomach’s main vein, Vena Kava and was also at risk of spreading in the kidney vein. It was extremely risky to remove this tumor.

Surgery was done on 1 August

Dr. Gaurav Gupta conducted several investigations with his team and discussed this case with the doctors of the Department of Anesthetia. On August 1, surgery was done with three units of blood. It was a big challenge to remove a 30×25 cm tumor during surgery. The weight of the tumor was 3.5 kg and was affixed to the main vein of the stomach. Despite this, the surgery team successfully removed it. Now Deepika’s condition is stable.
