Vinod Prasad, the priest of Jhandewalan temple, tells in a conversation with ABP News that on the first day of Navratri, Kalash Pujan, Chaitra Maa is worshiped and bathed with Ganga water. Navratri begins with Ghatasthapana, which is also called Kalash installation.

According to the almanac, this year Chaitra Navratri will start from March 30 and will run till 6 April. On the first day of Navratri, Ghatasthapana is done, in which Kalash is anointed with worship, chanting and Ganga water. Every day various forms of Goddess are worshiped, from which devotees experience special spiritual energy and peace.

Long queues of devotees can be seen from morning to visit the temple. Many devotees stand in line from 4 am and after waiting for about two hours, they are able to see the mother. About one kilometer long queue is launched outside the temple complex. However, special arrangements have been made by the administration for the convenience of devotees, so that no one has any inconvenience. Devotees can see the mother for about 30-40 seconds, after which they have to move forward. But even in this short time, devotees have a deep experience of the presence of Goddess.

Sreets of devotees
Devotees visiting Jhandewalan temple reach here with their wishes. Many devotees believe that mother fulfills all their wishes. A father got his son present in Dubai through video calls and said that this auspicious occasion of Navratri is very important for Hindu society. Another devotee said, “The mind became happy to see the grandeur of the court of Mother. The system here is also very good, due to which the philosophy is being done easily. Every time the mother has asked, the mother has given it. It is just a prayer that the mother should fill everyone’s bag with happiness.”

How to reach the temple?
The temple is located in the middle of Delhi, so it is quite easy to reach here. Devotees can descend at Jhandewalan station of the blue line of Delhi Metro and reach the temple by walking or auto. Apart from this, a bus or private vehicle can also be easily arrived here.
