What is the current salary of Canara Bank clerk?

The basic salary of Clerk of Canara Bank starts from around Rs 19,900. Along with this, they also get dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), travel allowance (TA) and many other allowances. The total salary from the joint of these allowances is around 35,000 to 40,000 rupees, which also increases according to the work experience and location.

How much will the Canara Bank Clerk be increased from the 8th Pay Commission?

According to reports, the fitment factor can be kept 2.57 in the 8th Pay Commission. This means that the existing basic salary will be multiplied by 2.57 and a new basic salary will be decided on the basis of it. If the current basic salary is Rs 19,900, then it will reach about Rs 51,143 from the 2.57 factor.

Along with this, dearness allowance, house allowance and other allowances will also increase as these allowances are available on the basis of the percentage of basic salary. This means that the total salary is also likely to be almost double. After the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the total salary of the clerk of Canara Bank can be 60,000 to 70,000 rupees per month or more.

What is the possible estimate of the 8th Pay Commission?

The fitment factor under the 7th Pay Commission was about 2.57, according to which the basic salary of government employees was fixed at around 18 thousand rupees. It is now discussed that if this fitment factor is increased from 2.57 to 2.86 or more in the 8th Pay Commission, then the basic salary of government employees can be seen a huge increase.

After this change, government employees will not only get better salary, but their allowances will also increase because those allowances are fixed on the basis of basic salary. This step can prove to be a big relief for government employees.
