Air india freedom sale: On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, a special ‘Freedom Sale’ has been started by Air India Express. Under this, the airline is offering huge discounts on about 50 lakh seats. In this, domestic flights start from Rs 1,279 to Rs 4,279 and the price of international flights is starting from Rs 4,279.

How long will you be able to book?
Under the ‘Freedom Sale’, you can book for the journey from August 19, 2025 to March 31, 2026. That is, during this time, to take advantage of exemption during the journey, you will have to book by August 15. This offer will first be launched on August 10 on the official website (www.airindiaexpress.com) and the airline’s mobile app. All these major travel booking platforms will also be available from 11 to 15 August.
Under ‘Freedom Sale’, Air India Express is offering fare at a concessional rate of Rs 1,279 for domestic flights and Rs 4,279 for international flights, as well as bringing many more benefits for its members. According to the official website, up to 20 percent discounts are being given on services like ‘Gormar’ hot miles, cabin and additional check-in baggage, and express ego for members.
Keep these things in mind
Passengers have to take care of some things to take advantage of the journey at a discount rate:-
- Air India Express said that discounted fares will not include fees like base fair, tax, airport charges.
- Passengers can book tickets online from official website or mobile application. In this, paying through net banking will be charged ‘zero’ on the rent of express light.
- AIX also said that in the event of cancellation, discounted amount will not be returned and the booking will not be valid under Freedom Sale offer.
- Tickets are available on first come, first serpent’s basis because seats are limited. If the discount seats are sold, then regular charges will have to be given on the booking of flights.
- Refund will not be done after payment. Cancellation Charge is subject to the applied fee specified on the official website of the airline.
- The airline has the right to cancel, abolish or suspend the offer without any prior information or reason and the passengers will not be entitled to any claim or compensation against the airline cancellation of tickets.
