1. Start preparing for NDA (NDA) – You can become an officer in the Air Force through NDA. For this, good preparations for maths, physics, English and general knowledge have to be done. The NDA exam is conducted twice a year under UPSC.

2. Joint NDA Foundation Course – 10th pass students can take the NDA Foundation course which prepares for the 11th-12th studies as well as the NDA exam. This course prepares you for the NDA exam mentally, physically and academically.

3. Note on fitness – To make a career in the Air Force, not only is done through written examination, but physical fitness is also very important. You can become physically stronger by doing running, pushups, pullups and other exercises everyday.

How much salary is available in the Indian Air Force?
When you complete training through NDA and become an officer, your monthly salary can range from about 56,100 to 2,50,000. At the same time, salary varies according to rank and experience. Officers in the Indian Air Force are paid salary according to their rank. In this, the structure of salary has been decided according to the 7th Pay Commission like –

1. Flying Officer – This is the rank of initial officer whose basic salary ranges from 56,100 to 1,77,500.

2. Flight Lieutenant – After promotion, this rank is available, which ranges from 61,300 to 1,93,900.

3. Squadron Leader – This is a senior post in which basic salary ranges from 69,400 to 2,07,200

4. Wing Commander – This rank is available on the basis of experience and service, it ranges from 1,21,200 to 2,12,400.

5. Group Captain – A high official rank is from 1,30,600 to 2,15,900.

6. Air Marshal – The salary in this rank ranges from 1,82,200 to 2,24,100.
