Parliamentary Affairs Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Suresh Kumar Khanna said in the assembly on Monday that Samajwadi Party (SP) does not want the House to go. At the same time, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey accused the government of dogma. Khanna said amid the uproar and slogans of SP members in the House on the first day of the monsoon session of the assembly, ‘The SP does not want the House to go. We are ready to answer.

Some SP MLAs gave a special notice to discuss public interest issues like floods and unemployment in the assembly. This notice was given under Rule-56, which is used in a situation in the assembly when a member wants any necessary public issue to be discussed by stopping the general action of the House.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, however, did not immediately accept this notice. He asked the SP MLAs to first clarify that this issue is so important and immediate (immediate noticeable).

Mahana made repeated requests

Mahana requested SP members to repeatedly speak under Rule-56, but they kept raising slogans. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey alleged that the house is not running due to the dogma of the government.

Pandey said that if matters like flood, electricity and unemployment are not being discussed, then it is the responsibility of the government. While replying to Pandey, Parliamentary Affairs and Finance Minister Khanna said, ‘SP does not want the House to go. We are ready to answer.

Referring to the team of ministers created by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for relief and rescue in floods, he said, “The government is continuously giving relief.” He said that those who have been damaged are giving compensation to them and it is also being assessed.

Four bills introduced

On Monday, the first day of the monsoon session in the state assembly, four bills including Uttar Pradesh Relations Bill, 2025 were introduced. This information was given in a statement. In the assembly, Uttar Pradesh Relations Bill, 2025, Uttar Pradesh Private University (Amendment) Bill, 2025, Uttar Pradesh Private University (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025 and Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicle Taxation (Amendment) Bill, 2025 were introduced by the concerned ministers.
