In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has declared a red alert of heavy rain in many districts on August 12. During this time, there has been a warning of extremely heavy rain. In view of this, a holiday has been announced in all schools from class one to 12 in seven districts of the state.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in most parts of the state today. The weather in the state will be bad for the next few days. During this time, there has been warning of celestial lightning and heavy rains with clouds.

Due to rain, rivers, drains and donkeys have increased in the mountainous and plains of many districts and there is a danger of landslides. In this way, this step has been taken by the Disaster Management Department in view of the safety of students.

Schools will be closed in these districts today

In view of the bad weather in Uttarakhand, instructions have been given to keep schools in seven districts in Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Champawat, Uttarkashi, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Rudraprayag seven districts today.

It has been said in this order that due to heavy rains on August 12, there will be a holiday in all government, semi -government and private schools (classes 1 to 12th) of these districts. Along with schools, all Anganwadi centers have also been declared a holiday today.

The Chief Education Officer and the District Magistrate have been instructed to ensure compliance with this order. In the event of a violation of the order, strict action has been warned against the concerned.

Temporary ban on Kedarnath Yatra also

Let us know that heavy rains are also affecting Chardham Yatra. In view of the warning of bad weather in Rudraprayag, the district administration has stopped the Kedarnath Yatra till 14 August for the next three days. In Rudraprayag, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall at many places on August 12, 13 and 14.

In view of the warning of heavy rain, the administration has temporarily stopped the journey of Kedarnath Dham for the next three days in view of the safety of passengers. Along with this, according to the guidelines of the State Disaster Management Department, all departments have been instructed to stay on alert during this period.
