Snacks for fatty liver: Nowadays, fatty liver is becoming not just a medical term, but a house-to-house concern. The reason is also clear, sitting for hours, less physical activity and excessive consumption of processed food. But the good news is that only the food damage to the liver can help in taking care of it. Harvard’s liver and Gut Specialist Dr. Saurabh Sethi has given 4 such snack combinations, which can be helpful in reversing fatty liver with the right lifestyle.
Date and walnuts
Often people believe that the date is very sweet and not good for health, but the truth is that the dates have plenty of soluble fiber, which helps prevent fat from getting stored in the liver by slowing down digestion and controlling sugar. When it is eaten with walnuts, its effect increases even more. Walnuts are the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which helps reduce liver inflammation and improve enzyme levels. Research has found that walnut intake is associated with low risk of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). Twice a week, eating only 2 dates and a small handful of walnuts, can be better for liver.

Dark Chocolate and Dry Fruits
For dark chocolate liver? It seems strange to hear, but its secret is hidden in the polyphenols present in it. Dark chocolate with 70% or more cocoa has rich antioxidants, which reduce oxidative stress on liver cells. If you add dry fruits like almonds or pistachios, then the benefit increases even more. These nuts are sources of vitamin E and healthy fats, which protect liver cells. Once or twice a week, eating a small piece dark chocolate and a little dry fruits, is a way to eat sweet without gilt, which keeps both mood and health happy.
Apple with honey and cinnamon
A slight drop of raw honey on apple pieces and spraying cinnamon from above, this snack is as tasty, as healthy. Apple contains soluble fiber called pectin, which nourishes good bacteria and helps to remove fat from the body. Honey supports limited quantity of gut health and improves liver metabolism. It can be eaten both cold or lightly hot, and it is a comfortable snack in every season.
Curd and berries
Probiotics are considered to be the big hero of health nowadays, but not every yogurt is so beneficial. Plane Greek Yogurt is rich in rich, low sugar and rich in live cultures, which restores gut health and plays an important role in managing the liver fat level. Inserting it like blueberries or strawberries, it causes polyphenol and vitamin C, which help in reducing liver inflammation. A few times a week, a small bowl Greek yogurt and berries consumption can be an easy habit of maintaining liver health for a long time.
