15 On August 1947, India became independent from English rights, but Pakistan had made Pakistan a country by dividing India. People were celebrating the independence of the country, but many families were desolate due to sharing there.,

One such story of partition belongs to Bhagwan and Rachpal Kaur, a husband wife of Bajidpur village of Sarhadi district Ferozepur, when he spoke to whom he told that in seven days, the condition had become worse in seven days. Today, when you remember that time, it comes in front of the eyes.

Bhagwan Singh told his story that he was born in 1939 in village Aulakh in Lahore, district of Pakistan. He told that there was a very good atmosphere, people of all castes used to live together, when India became independent, their age was around 8 years. He told that the atmosphere deteriorated within seven days.

Muslim families were given equal

He said that we came out as a convoy on the bullock cart and there was an atmosphere of fear at that time, he said that our convoy was being attacked, but the army arrived. Many times it rained, due to which we survived. He told that we had a lot of land in Pakistan, there was a lot of goods but we did not get anything else.

He further told that we had given the same as our Muslim families, when we were going to India on bull vehicles on the way, then we used to eat food under the bullock cart, the situation of that time was quite worse, our whole family survived and we came to this and I got married in 1961.

Ferozepur came from Pakistan through train

The same Bhagwan Singh’s wife Rachpal Kaur said that at the time of partition, she was three years old and was born in the elected of Pakistan, there were doors all around, at the time of partition, we came to India from Pakistan by train, she told that I did not eat bread, used to eat only five years.
