The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, gave a clear message from the Red Fort without naming the American tariff and Donald Trump that the country would never compromise on the interests of farmers. He said that the hard work of farmers is paying off in the development of India. Last year, the record in the production of food grains has been broken. The land is the same but water is found, it was also produced in India. We have reached another level in fish production. We have reached another level in the production of rice, vegetables etc.

The production of farmers of the country is reaching the world. Agro product of Rs 4 lakh crore has reached the world. We have started cooperation under PM Dhan Dhanya Kisan Yojana for the hundred districts of the country which are left behind. Modi will not tolerate any harmful thing for farmers, cattle rearers etc. and will stand in front of it as a wall. This comment is important because in the proposed bilateral trade agreement (BTA) between India and the US, Washington is demanding a concession from India in agriculture and dairy areas. To create pressure, the US has also imposed heavy duty on India.

In the proposed BTA, America is demanding to increase the reach of American dairy products along with reducing fees on products like maize maize, soybean, apple, almonds and ethanol. However, New Delhi has strongly opposed these demands, as they will directly affect the farmers.
