The alleged derogatory remarks by an MLA from TDP (Telugu Desam Party) regarding Tollywood superstar Junior NTR and appeal for boycott of his film have raised controversy. After this, fans of NTR expressed their displeasure and demanded public apology from the MLA.

What are the allegations against the MLA?

TDP MLA from Anantapur Urban, Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad, is accused of using derogatory words against Junior NTR and appealed to boycott his upcoming film ‘War 2’. An audio clip went viral on social media, in which the voice of the MLA can be heard allegedly.

After this audio clip surfaced, NTR fans protested outside the MLA’s house in Anantapur on Sunday. He shouted slogans, tore posters and flexi and demanded public apology from the MLA. In view of the increasing tension, the police increased security outside the MLA’s residence and office.

MLA denied allegations

MLA Prasad issued a video message and denied these allegations. He said that the voice heard in the audio clip is not his and this is a conspiracy of his political rivals. He also said that he is a fan of slogans and Nandamuri families. Although he said that if the sentiments of NTR fans are hurt, they apologize to them, but fans say that the MLA should come in front of the media and apologize in public.

On this dispute, YSR Congress leader and former minister R.K. Roja also reacted. He said that politics and films should not be introduced to each other. Rosa herself is an actress herself and said that Junior NTR is not active in politics, so such things should not be said against her. He said in a sarcastic tone that “appealing to the boycott of NTR’s film is like covering Suraj with a palm. If the film is good then no one can stop it.”

Rosa also taunted Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and said that the MLAs had bought tickets for him, but still his film Hari green Veera could not save Veera Mallu.

It is being told that supporters of a class of TDP are angry with Junior NTR. Recently, at the pre-release event of his film War 2, the actor said that as long as his grandfather Nandamuri Tarak Rama Rao (NTR) is blessed with him, no one can spoil him.


Junior NTR is former CM’s grandchildren

Significantly, Junior NTR, TDP is the founder and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh NTR. NTR’s son -in -law N. Chandrababu Naidu took command of the party and power after rebellion in 1995. Now Chief Minister Naidu is preparing his son Nara Lokesh as a political successor. At the same time, some fans of NTR believe that the political legacy of his grandfather should pursue the junior NTR.
