Kohli has not returned to India after winning IPL
Kohli, 36, played a key role in giving his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) the first IPL title after 18 years in Ahmedabad on 4 June 2025. Since then, he has not returned to India and is spending time with family in London. He was last seen in London at an event by former all -rounder Yuvraj Singh.
Goodbye to Test cricket said goodbye
Kohli surprised all the fans on 12 May 2025 by retiring from Test cricket. He said goodbye to his Test career by sharing the post on Instagram. He has played 123 Tests in his 14 -year long career. During this, he scored 30 centuries and 31 half -centuries and scored 9230 runs. He has been the fourth highest run -scorer in Test format for India.
Have already retired from T20I
Virat Kohli also said goodbye to T20 cricket before his retirement from the Test. On 29 June 2024, when India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024, Kohli announced his retirement from T20 International cricket.

Kohli is preparing to be a part of India’s team for the three -match ODI series against Australia to be held in October 2025. In this series, he has a chance to break the big record of Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara.
