Bangladesh’s 15 -member squad declared for ODI World Cup, 17 -year -old player will create Tehelka

Bangladesh has announced a 15 -member squad for the Women’s ODI World Cup. Nahida Akhtar has been given the burden of vice -captain. 17 -year -old Nishita Akhtar has also got a place in this squad, who has only 2 matches experience in international cricket. Apart from Nishita, 19 -year -old Sumaiya Akhtar will also be eyeing everyone, who will return to the team after March 2024.

Rubya Haider has not even made his ODI debut till now and has scored just 58 runs in 6 T20 matches. Despite this, the selectors have shown confidence in them for the ODI World Cup. Chief selector Sajjad Ahmed Mansur said that Rubya has been selected based on the last 6 months of performance.

17 -year -old Nishita Akhtar will be the youngest player of the team. Their specialty is that she works with restraint even in the state of pressure and especially mastered the left -handed batsmen in her spin. The Bangladesh team has never reached the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup.

In the World Cup, Bangladesh will start its World Cup campaign with a match with Pakistan on 2 October. After that he has to face England on 7 October. He will face New Zealand on 10 October and then on 13 October from South Africa. Bangladesh will then play the match with Australia on 16 October and then Sri Lanka on 20 October. Bangladesh’s last league match will be with India on 26 October.
